Who I Am & My Family
I’m a mom of two boys who have shaped nearly every part of who I am. My oldest keeps me laughing and grounded, while my youngest, who has significant support needs, has taught me patience, advocacy, and what it truly means to show up without conditions. Our family life requires flexibility, resilience, and a deep belief that every child deserves to be known for who they are, not defined by limitations.
Three Words That Describe Me
Compassionate. Driven. Creative.
Why Everbright Matters to Me
Everbright Academy was born at the intersection of my personal life and my professional work. I’ve spent years in community-based and healthcare programs serving high-risk and vulnerable populations, where I’ve seen how gaps in systems affect real families. As a parent navigating special education, I’ve felt those gaps personally, especially when the public school system struggles to adequately support children with complex needs.
Everbright isn’t about criticizing existing systems; it’s about creating another option for families who need something different. This school exists because children are more than service plans or labels, they are whole humans with strengths, personalities, and potential. Everbright creates a place where learning is individualized, growth is celebrated in all its forms, and families are true partners in the process. It’s about building confidence, independence, and joy.
A Little Joy or Heart I Bring as a Founder
I believe deeply in celebrating small wins, the moments that don’t always make it into progress reports but mean everything to families. Music, humor, creativity, and connection are constants in our home, and I bring that same energy to Everbright. I want this school to feel warm, human, and hopeful.
